Short bio
Professor Dimitrios Pezaros is the Royal Academy of Engineering Research Chair in Digital Resilience for Critical National Infrastructure and a full professor at the University of Glasgow’s School of Computing Science. He leads the Cybersecurity research theme and directs the Networked Systems Research Laboratory (netlab) and Glasgow’s Cyberdefence lab. A chartered engineer, fellow of the BCS and IET, HEA, IEEE, and ACM, Pezaros has a strong track record in computer communications, network management, and digital resilience research. He has published extensively on topics such as network programmability, function virtualisation, and resource-constrained environments. With significant funding from EPSRC, EC, Dstl, RAEng, LMS, FAA, and industry partners like BT and EDF, Pezaros’ work explores the application of emerging technologies to improve digital resilience in critical national infrastructure. Prior to joining Glasgow as a lecturer in 2009, he held research positions at Lancaster University and was a doctoral fellow with Agilent Technologies Inc.
