Short bio

Denis Donadel received his PhD in Brain, Mind and Computer Science (BMCS) from the University of Padua, Italy, in 2024, under the supervision of Prof. Mauro Conti, with a thesis on the security of modern vehicles and automotive systems. Since 2024, he is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Verona, Italy, working on the cybersecurity of cyber-physical systems under the supervision of Prof. Massimo Merro. In 2021, he was awarded the New Generation Internet (NGI) Explorers grant, supporting a collaboration with the University of Washington, Seattle, USA, where he was a visiting researcher in 2023 under the supervision of Prof. Radha Poovendran. In 2026, he received the MSCA-PF Seal of Excellence. His research interests include cybersecurity of cyber-physical systems, with a focus on automotive and industrial control system security, and AI applied to cybersecurity.
